APPOINTED PERSONSThis course is designed for those who wish to have a basic knowledge of first aid. The minimum duration is 4hours, (more time should be allowed for larger groups). There is an exam at the end and successful candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for three years.FIRST AID AT WORKThe FAAW course is a Health and Safety approved course, recognised for people wishing to obtain a professional qualification. The course duration is 24 hours and there will be a 3 part exam at the end. Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate which will be valid for three years.FIRST AID INSTRUCTORThe First Aid Instructor's course is designed for those who wish to teach a range of First Aid Courses either as part of their role as an employee or as a career change or a part-time activity to implement your career.The 60 hour course is intense and will prepare you thoroughly for the role. AUTOMATED DEFIBRILLATIONThis course is designed to equip clients who have Defibrillators on-site with the skills and knowledge to use them. The course will last a minimum of 4 hours and will consist of both theoretical and practical aspects.HEALTH AND SAFETY COURSESWe offer Manual Handling,Coshh and Fire Protection.POOL LIFEGUARD COURSEThis is a Royal Life Saving Society Course for those who wish to obtain employment within the leisure industry. The duration will be 33 hours, conducted by qualified trainer assessors, and entrants should be able to swim. Special arrangements can be made for those who are weak swimmers.There will be a theoretical and practical assessment at the end of the course. Other Royal Life Saving society courses are available to gain life saving awards and awards for teachers of swimming, including Rescue Test For Teachers and coaches of swimming, Bronze Medallion, Award Of Water Merit. CHILDMINDER'S COURSESA 12 hour course for childminders, approved by the National childminding association and the British Red Cross.CHILDREN'S FIRST AIDA 12 hour course for childcare workers approved by National Childminding Association and British Red Cross.CORRESPONDENCE COURSESThe correspondence course is a convenient option for those who cannot dedicate time to attend a course or those who wish to learn for interest. Full tutorial support is given. |
